cyborg

Part human, part machine

A cyborg is a being that combines organic and mechanical parts—a human or other organism enhanced with technological components.

The term blends "cybernetic" and "organism." Science fiction imagines cyborgs with robotic limbs or computer-integrated brains, but in a looser sense, anyone with a pacemaker or cochlear implant qualifies: We're all becoming cyborgs, glued to our devices.
