RoboCop
RoboCop is a cyborg law enforcement officer from the 1987 science fiction film of the same name—a murdered Detroit policeman resurrected as a heavily armored, programmed machine.
The name has become shorthand for militarized or dehumanized policing: The department's new gear makes them look like RoboCop.
It can describe anyone who enforces rules mechanically, without human judgment or empathy.
