Terminator
Robotic killer franchise
Terminator refers to the science fiction film franchise beginning with James Cameron's 1984 movie, featuring cyborg assassins sent through time.
The title character, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, became a cultural icon, and his line I'll be back entered the lexicon.
The word now commonly describes anyone or anything relentlessly unstoppable or machine-like in pursuit of a goal: She was a terminator in the courtroom. (Lowercase terminator means something that ends or limits.)
