natural person

Living breathing human

A natural person is a human being, as distinguished from a corporation, organization, or other legal entity.

The term appears in legal and bureaucratic contexts where the law grants rights or imposes obligations: The contract may be signed by any natural person over eighteen.

Corporations are "artificial persons" or "legal persons"—they can sue, own property, and enter contracts, but they aren't natural persons.
