being
Any sentient creature
Being covers existence itself and the things that exist.
As a noun, a being is any entity that exists—especially a living creature: human beings, sentient beings, a being from another planet.
More abstractly, being refers to the state of existing: The new policy came into being last year.
The word also functions as the present participle of "be," forming progressive tenses (she is being difficult) or introducing explanations (being tired, I went to bed early).
