bonds
What links people
Bonds are things that tie, fasten, or unite.
A bond can be a physical restraint (the prisoner's bonds), a chemical connection between atoms, or an emotional tie (the bond between mother and child).
In finance, bonds are debt securities—loans to governments or corporations that pay interest over time: She invested in municipal bonds.
To bond is to form a close connection: The teammates bonded during training camp. (Capitalized Bonds typically refers to the baseball player or the fictional spy.)
