treasury
Government money store
A treasury is a place where wealth is stored or a fund of money available for use.
By extension, it refers to any valuable collection: a treasury of folk songs, a treasury of quotations.
The word suggests accumulated riches held in reserve, whether literal money or figurative wealth of knowledge, art, or literature. (Capitalized Treasury refers to a government department.)
