Romulus
Wolf-nursed city founder
Romulus is the legendary founder and first king of Rome.
According to myth, he and his twin brother Remus were raised by a she-wolf after being abandoned as infants.
Romulus killed Remus in a dispute and established the city around 753 BCE.
The name appears in contexts involving founding, origins, or fraternal conflict: Every startup has its Romulus and Remus story. (Lowercase romulus is rare outside the proper name.)
