Poseidon

Trident-wielding deity

Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses, one of the twelve Olympians and brother to Zeus and Hades.

In mythology, he wields a trident and is known for his tempestuous nature, causing storms and shipwrecks when angered.

His Roman equivalent is Neptune.

The name appears in modern contexts for marine-related businesses, naval vessels, and oceanographic projects.

Poseidon was said to have created horses from sea foam.
