duality
State of twofold
Duality is the state or quality of having two parts, aspects, or natures, often ones that contrast or complement each other.
Philosophers speak of mind-body duality, the idea that mental and physical existence are fundamentally different.
In physics, wave-particle duality describes how light behaves as both wave and particle depending on how it's observed.
More loosely, duality refers to any pairing of opposing forces or ideas: the duality of good and evil, the duality of public persona and private self.
