storm
Thunder and lightning
A storm is an instance of disturbed and often violent weather, typically with wind and precipitation.
In figurative use, a storm is a large amount of an undesirable thing: The citizens raised a storm of protest.
If the weather is storming, there are storms present.
If an army storms a place, they make a forceful attack.
If a person storms, they express great anger.
To do something by storm is to do it quickly, efficiently, and with great success.
