Romulan
Secretive space empire
Romulan refers to a fictional alien species from the Star Trek universe—pointy-eared humanoids related to Vulcans but defined by secrecy, cunning, and imperial ambition rather than logic.
Their civilization operates behind a cloaking device, literally and figuratively.
Outside Trek fandom, Romulan appears as shorthand for someone scheming or inscrutably strategic: He's being very Romulan about the merger.
