Atlantic Ocean
Between two continents
The Atlantic Ocean is the body of water separating the Americas from Europe and Africa, the second-largest ocean after the Pacific.
It stretches from the Arctic in the north to the Southern Ocean, connected to other oceans through various straits and passages.
We crossed the Atlantic by ship.
The word Atlantic derives from Atlas, the Titan condemned to hold up the sky near the ocean's eastern shore.
