mahi-mahi
Hawaiian menu staple
Mahi-mahi is a large, brightly colored fish found in warm ocean waters, prized as a food fish for its firm, mild-flavored flesh.
The name comes from Hawaiian and has largely replaced the older English name dolphinfish, which caused confusion with dolphins (the marine mammals).
I'll have the grilled mahi-mahi with mango salsa.
