Atlantic City
Jersey Shore gambling
Atlantic City is a resort city on the New Jersey shore, famous for its boardwalk, beaches, and casino gambling.
Once a premier East Coast vacation destination in the early twentieth century, it declined for decades before casino legalization in 1976 sparked partial revival.
The city lends its name to the American version of Monopoly, whose properties—Boardwalk, Park Place, Baltic Avenue—are Atlantic City street names.
We spent the weekend in Atlantic City playing blackjack.
