manatee

Gentle aquatic grazer

A manatee is a large, slow-moving aquatic mammal found in warm coastal waters, rivers, and estuaries.

Manatees are herbivorous, grazing on sea grasses and other aquatic plants.

Their rounded bodies, paddle-like tails, and gentle disposition have earned them the nickname "sea cow." We spotted a manatee surfacing near the boat.
