surfaces
Outsides of objects
Surfaces is the plural of surface—the outer boundaries of objects, what you can see and touch.
We speak of flat surfaces, rough surfaces, the surface of the earth.
Extended: what appears outwardly versus what lies beneath: On the surface, everything seemed fine.
The verb surfaces means to come up or emerge: New evidence surfaces, She surfaces around noon on weekends.
