normal
Nothing to note
The adjective normal is far more frequent and varied in meaning than its related noun norm.
What is normal is expected, common, usual, unexceptional.
The normal time for something is when it usually or customarily happens.
Normal practice is what people usually do in a given situation.
The frequent phrase perfectly normal is often used to suggest that some phenomenon should not be regarded as unusual: It’s perfectly normal for the president to defend his legacy.
Normal is also the place on a scale where most values occur; outside of this range, values are above normal or below normal.
