orifice

Hole for passage

An orifice is an opening, especially one in the body—the mouth, nostrils, ear canals, and others less mentionable.

The word sounds clinical or deliberately formal, which makes it useful for anatomical contexts and for comic euphemism: Every orifice was examined.

Technical uses describe any hole or aperture through which something passes.
