flow rate
Current per second
Flow rate is the volume of fluid (liquid or gas) passing through a given point per unit of time: The plumber measured the flow rate at the faucet.
Common in engineering, medicine, and environmental science—water flow rates in pipes, IV drip rates, river discharge.
Higher flow rates mean more volume moving faster.
Measured in gallons per minute, liters per hour, cubic feet per second, and similar units.
