monohull
Single-bodied sailing craft
A monohull is a boat or ship with a single hull, as opposed to a catamaran (two hulls) or trimaran (three).
Most traditional watercraft are monohulls: a monohull sailboat, racing monohulls.
The term appears mainly in sailing contexts where distinguishing from multihull vessels matters.
