Window frame filler
Putty is a soft, pliable paste used to seal gaps, fill holes, or secure glass in window frames.
It hardens after application.
The word extends to anything easily shaped or manipulated: He was putty in her hands means someone completely yielding to another's influence.
As a verb, to putty is to apply this material: He puttied the cracks in the wall. (Capitalized PuTTY is software.)
