framerate

Frames per second

Framerate is the frequency at which consecutive images appear in video, film, or animation, measured in frames per second (fps).

Higher framerates produce smoother motion: film traditionally runs at 24 fps, while video games often target 60 fps or higher.

The framerate dropped during intense action sequences.

Also spelled as two words: frame rate.
