bandwidth

Network transfer capacity

Bandwidth is the capacity of a channel to transmit data, originally referring to the range of frequencies a signal can occupy.

In computing and telecommunications, higher bandwidth means faster data transfer: We need more bandwidth to stream video.

Figuratively, bandwidth describes mental or organizational capacity to handle tasks: I don't have the bandwidth to take on another project right now.
