judder
Shake with vibration
Judder is a shaking or vibrating motion, especially one that's rapid and irregular.
The word is chiefly British, describing mechanical vibration in vehicles or machinery: The car juddered to a halt.
It also works for human trembling: Her voice juddered with cold.
As a noun: a judder ran through the fuselage.
American English more often uses shudder or vibrate.
