in-betweens
Neither one extreme
In-betweens are things or people that fall between two categories, stages, or extremes—neither fully one nor the other.
The movie wasn't good or bad, just one of those in-betweens.
In animation, in-betweens are the frames drawn between key poses to create smooth motion, often produced by junior artists called in-betweeners.
