Roadside promotional display
A billboard is a large outdoor advertising structure, typically placed along highways or in urban areas where many people will see it.
The word extends to any prominent display surface: The building's side became a billboard for political messages.
As a verb, to billboard something is to advertise it prominently or give it heavy promotion. (Capitalized Billboard is the music industry magazine.)
