roadside signs
Drivers' posted information
Roadside signs are markers placed along roads to convey information to drivers and pedestrians.
They include traffic signs (stop, yield, speed limits), directional signs, mile markers, and advertisements.
The term often specifically refers to commercial billboards or hand-painted signs promoting local businesses, attractions, or political candidates: We followed the roadside signs to the peach stand.
