Walking billboard worn
A sandwich board is a pair of boards bearing advertisements or messages, connected at the top and hung over a person's shoulders so one board hangs in front and one behind—the wearer "sandwiched" between them.
The term extends to similar A-frame signs that stand on the sidewalk without a person: The café put out a sandwich board advertising the lunch special.
