LCD stands for liquid crystal display, a flat-panel screen technology used in televisions, computer monitors, and countless other devices.
The technology uses liquid crystals sandwiched between layers of glass or plastic, with backlighting to produce images.
The laptop has a 15-inch LCD.
LCD screens replaced bulky cathode-ray tubes in most consumer electronics. (Lowercase lcd is the lowest common denominator.)
