drivers
Behind the wheel
Drivers is the plural of driver—people who operate vehicles or other things that drive.
A driver is someone behind the wheel: taxi drivers, drunk drivers.
In golf, a driver is the club for long-distance shots off the tee.
In computing, drivers are software programs that allow hardware to communicate with an operating system: You need to update your graphics drivers.
A driver can also be a motivating factor: Cost was the main driver of the decision.
