Rwanda
East African republic
Rwanda is a small, densely populated country in east-central Africa, sometimes called the "land of a thousand hills" for its mountainous terrain.
It gained worldwide attention during the 1994 genocide, when ethnic Hutu extremists killed an estimated 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus in approximately 100 days.
The adjective is Rwandan: Rwandan coffee, the Rwandan government.
