DRC
Kinshasa's nation, abbreviated
DRC is the standard abbreviation for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the large Central African nation formerly known as Zaire: The DRC is rich in minerals but plagued by conflict.
In wine circles, DRC refers to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, the prestigious Burgundy estate producing some of the world's most expensive wines. (Lowercase drc is a nonstandard variant.)
