Hotel Rwanda
African massacre film
Hotel Rwanda is a 2004 film depicting the Rwandan genocide, in which a hotel manager sheltered over a thousand Tutsi refugees.
The title has become shorthand for individual heroism during mass atrocity, or for the broader failure of international intervention: The world stood by during Hotel Rwanda and learned nothing.
