urban
Of the city
Urban describes things relating to cities or densely populated areas, as opposed to rural or suburban environments: urban development, urban poverty, the urban landscape.
Urban can suggest the culture and lifestyle associated with city living—fast-paced, diverse, cosmopolitan.
In music marketing, urban became a category label often applied to Black artists, a usage criticized as a euphemism; many organizations have dropped it.
