North Pacific
Alaska's western waters
The North Pacific is the northern portion of the Pacific Ocean, generally understood as the waters north of the equator extending from the western coasts of North America to eastern Asia.
It encompasses major shipping routes, fishing grounds, and features like the North Pacific Gyre: Cargo ships cross the North Pacific between Seattle and Tokyo.
