sea cliffs
Ocean-facing rock walls
Sea cliffs are steep rock faces formed where land meets ocean, shaped by wave erosion at their base.
They range from modest bluffs to dramatic vertical drops of hundreds of meters: The sea cliffs of Dover, Hikers stayed well back from the crumbling sea cliff edge.
Unlike inland cliffs, they continue to erode as waves undercut them.
