Hephaestus

Olympian forge god

Hephaestus is the Greek god of fire, metalworking, and craftsmanship.

Lame and sometimes depicted as ugly, he was the divine blacksmith who forged weapons and armor for the gods—including Zeus's thunderbolts and Achilles' shield.

His Roman counterpart is Vulcan.

The name appears in discussions of mythology, classical literature, and as a symbol of skilled craftsmanship or creative labor.
