world map
All countries shown
A world map is a representation of the Earth's surface on a flat plane, showing continents, countries, oceans, and other geographic features.
World maps necessarily distort shape, size, or distance because a sphere cannot be perfectly flattened: The Mercator projection makes Greenland look enormous on a world map.
They range from political maps showing borders to physical maps showing terrain.
