tricorn
Hat with corners
A tricorn is a hat with the brim folded up on three sides, creating three points or corners.
The style is associated with 18th-century military and civilian dress, now mostly seen in period costumes and pirate getups: The Revolutionary War reenactor adjusted his tricorn.
Also spelled tricorne.
