send
Make it go
The verb send is used for the transfer of information (send a message, send an email, send a signal) or the physical transfer of something tangible (send a package, send an army).
The meanings are combined in send a letter.
Send is also present in various phrasal verbs, of which some have predictable meanings.
To send someone off is either to dismiss them summarily, or to give them a nice farewell.
Especially in British English, send someone up is to parody or satirize them.
To send for someone or something is to request that they come to you.
