undo

Revert an action

Undo means to reverse or cancel something previously done.

You undo a button by unfastening it, undo a knot by untying it.

In computing, undo reverses the last action: I hit control-Z to undo my mistake.

Figuratively, undo can mean to ruin or bring down: His gambling undid him.

What's done cannot always be undone.
