Sandbags also serve as ballast or improvised weights.
To sandbag someone is to hit them with a sandbag, or figuratively, to coerce or bully.
In games and competition, sandbagging means deliberately underperforming to gain advantage later—hiding your strength to sandbag opponents who underestimate you.
