seven-card stud
Five betting rounds
Seven-card stud is a poker variant where each player receives seven cards—three face down and four face up—and makes the best five-card hand from them.
Before Texas hold'em dominated, seven-card stud was the most popular form of poker in American casinos and home games: We played seven-card stud every Friday night.
