resident
One who lives
A resident is someone who lives in a particular place, whether a house, neighborhood, city, or country.
Residents of the apartment complex share a parking garage.
The term also applies to doctors in training who work at a hospital while completing their specialty education after medical school.
As an adjective, resident describes someone or something that lives or is based in a location: the resident expert on tax law.
In computing, resident describes programs or data that remain in memory rather than being loaded as needed.
