dweller

One who stays

A dweller is someone who lives in a particular place.

The word almost always appears with a modifier specifying location: city dwellers, cave dwellers, apartment dwellers, cliff dwellers.

On its own, dweller sounds incomplete—you dwell somewhere, making you a dweller of that place.
