migrant
Worker who relocates
A migrant is someone who moves from one place to another, typically in search of work or better living conditions.
The word applies to people who relocate within a country migrant farmworkers following the harvest or across borders.
Unlike immigrant or emigrant, migrant emphasizes the movement itself rather than arrival or departure, and often implies temporary or seasonal relocation.
Birds and animals that travel seasonally are also migrants.
