targets

What archers seek

Targets are things aimed at—literally or figuratively.

A target is what you shoot at, what you're trying to hit or reach: sales targets, target audience, target date.

To target something is to select it for attention or attack: The ads target young adults.

A target can also be someone singled out for criticism or harm: She became a target of online harassment.
