raiser

One who lifts

A raiser is someone or something that raises.

The word almost always appears with a modifier specifying what gets raised: a fund-raiser solicits donations, a curtain-raiser opens a theatrical program, a hell-raiser causes trouble.

In poker, a raiser is a player who increases the bet.
