charity
Generosity toward others
Charity is giving money, goods, or help to those in need, or the organizations that do so: She donated to several charities.
The word can also mean kindness or generosity of spirit—a willingness to judge others favorably: Have some charity; he's doing his best.
In religious contexts, charity often means love for others, especially as a Christian virtue.
